Darussalam Education Centre has now launched a new radio-like system that uses the internet to stream audio.
The system requires a device that is connected to the internet.
What About the Old Radio System?
Users with older analogue radio receivers will still get the radio signal In Sha Allah.
According to the service website:
No hardware changes required.
We don’t change any of your existing audio hardware. We’ll simply install our transmitter alongside your audio equipment. When you start transmitting, you’ll automatically go live.
If you have an existing analogue transmitter, our new hardware will work alongside this so listeners with an analogue receiver can continue receiving transmissions.
Our system can be controlled via a switch allowing you full control over what is broadcast.

Also according to their App description:
Tune into azaans, talks and events from Masaajids, Madrasahs, Scholars and Islamic radio stations across the UK.
iMasjid Live can notify you when a channel is live for most channels (no licence required for notifications).
iMasjid Live can be set to scan (autoplay) when your preferred Masjid(s) channel comes online (e.g. azaan/talk). This requires a licence which will need to be purchased from iMasjid Live.
A Wifi home receiver is also available via iMasjidLive.co.uk
iMasjid Live also provides access to recordings of talks and events for many Masaajids.

Do I Need to Pay for the New System
You do not need to pay for the new system. Listening to the service is completely free. There is a one-time licence fee for being notified when the masjid is live, but it’s not necessary. You can check their website for more information.
A spare device that has the Darussalam iMasjid Live page or app broadcast will automatically play when the masjid is live.
How to Setup the New System?
Masjid lectures can be accessed live on the website or app.
Please download and turn the notification on to get alerts.

You can set up a computer or laptop (even a mobile device) for this purpose.
Have the website open.
Note: The stream will have to be manually clicked to play.

For mobile devices such as phones and tablets, you can download the app. Preferably a spare device that has the app open all the time. The stream will automatically play with this method.
